How to Use AI + Human Design to Discover Your Brand Personality (and Create a Life-First Business)
Aug 12, 2025
It Wasn’t a Funnel That Changed My Business — It Was This
If you’d told me a few years ago that one of the most powerful tools in my business would be a birth chart for my podcast, I would have laughed.
But here’s what happened.
I wasn’t looking for another “shiny” system, complicated funnel, or new social media trend. I was looking for clarity. I wanted to feel aligned with my business again — like it actually fit me, my life, and the season I’m in.
So I did something different. I used AI and Human Design to map out my business’s personality — as if it were a living, breathing person.
And what I discovered? It shifted how I market, plan, and make decisions. It gave me permission to run my business in a way that feels easier, calmer, and way more me.
The best part? You can do it too.
Why Messaging Often Feels “Off” (and Why It’s Not Your Fault)
If you’ve ever sat down to write a post, record a podcast, or plan a launch and thought:
-
“This doesn’t sound like me.”
-
“Why does my content feel forced?”
-
“I’m tired of trying to keep up with what everyone else is doing.”
…then you’re not alone.
For women building life-first businesses, especially those juggling family, clients, and a hundred other responsibilities, the biggest energy drain isn’t the work itself — it’s trying to run your business like someone else’s.
You’ve probably absorbed a million conflicting strategies from “business gurus,” and you might even be following them… but they don’t feel right. They’re out of alignment.
That’s why your messaging feels clunky. That’s why you’re exhausted by marketing.
The fix isn’t more strategy. It’s the right strategy — one that matches the unique energy and personality of your business.
The Big Idea — Treat Your Business Like a Person
Here’s the mindset shift that changed everything:
Your business has a personality. And when you understand it, everything becomes easier — from writing your emails to saying “yes” (or “no”) to opportunities.
Think about it. If your business were a person:
-
How would she talk?
-
What lights her up?
-
Does she thrive in fast-paced networking rooms or in deep, intimate conversations?
-
What does she do when no one’s watching?
When you know those answers, you stop forcing it to be something it’s not.
And that’s exactly what I discovered when I combined Human Design and AI business tools.
Step 1: Give Your Business a “Birthday”
Human Design is a personality framework based on your birth date, time, and location. It’s usually used for people — but here’s the twist: you can run a chart for your business.
Why? Because your business has an origin moment.
For me, that was March 7, 2020 — the day Crush the Rush officially launched. I entered that date, time, and location (Columbus, Ohio) into a Human Design calculator and…
Boom.
I discovered that my podcast’s Human Design type is a Projector with emotional authority and a 6/2 profile.
Quick Human Design Refresher
-
Types: The energy style of your business (Projector, Manifestor, Generator, Manifesting Generator, Reflector).
-
Authority: How it makes decisions (e.g., Emotional Authority needs time; Sacral Authority is gut-led).
-
Profile: How it interacts with the world (two numbers, like 6/2 or 2/4, each representing a role).
My Podcast’s Design:
-
Type: Projector — here to guide and share wisdom, not hustle.
-
Authority: Emotional — needs time before big decisions.
-
Profile: 6/2 (The Role Model / Hermit) — seasons of visibility and seasons of retreat.
Translation:
This podcast works best when it’s invited into deeper conversations (guest spots, collaborations) instead of constantly shouting on social media. It thrives on thoughtful, intentional content — not rushed, daily posting.
Step 2: Run Your Human Design
Your business has a personality, and so do you. The magic happens when you understand both — and how they work together.
My Design:
-
Type: Manifesting Generator — big energy, multi-passionate, loves to move fast.
-
Profile: 2/4 (The Hermit / Opportunist) — needs solo recharge time but thrives on community.
-
Authority: Sacral — knows instantly if something’s a yes or no.
Our Energetic Dynamic:
Element | Me (Manifesting Generator) | Podcast (Projector) | How We Interact |
---|---|---|---|
Energy Type | Big, fast-moving, multi-focus | Insightful, strategic | I start momentum; the podcast refines and channels it |
Strategy | Respond + inform | Wait for invitation | I spark ideas; the podcast gets invited into deeper spaces |
Decision-Making | Fast gut clarity | Needs emotional processing | I act quickly; the podcast slows us down when needed |
Profile | Magnetic to community | Wise teacher | We both need downtime; we shine through authenticity |
Why This Matters for You

Step 3: Ask AI to Reflect Back Your Brand Personality
Once I knew my podcast’s “vibe,” I brought in AI — just like the custom bots inside Anti-Social School.
I asked questions like:
-
“What’s the tone of this brand?”
-
“What type of marketing fits this energy?”
-
“What should we lean into more — and let go of?”
And the answers? It felt like reading a letter from a wiser, calmer version of me.
AI told me:
-
✔ This brand is consistent, clear, thoughtful.
-
✔ It thrives on strategy with soul.
-
✔ It needs space to be brilliant — and that’s okay.
Try This Yourself:
-
Gather your most authentic content (podcast transcripts, emails, blog posts).
-
Drop it into AI (ChatGPT or your own custom bot).
-
Use prompts like:
-
“Based on this, describe my brand personality in three sentences.”
-
“What marketing strategies match this personality?”
-
“Write an Instagram caption in this voice.”
-
Step 4: Create Your Brand Thread
Think of a Brand Thread as your business’s personality cheat sheet.
Mine includes:
-
Brand voice: Warm, strategic, “let’s be real.”
-
Key themes: Sustainable success, life-first business, anti-hustle systems.
-
Content rules: Write to serve, not to prove.
-
Visual direction: Calm, confident, cozy CEO energy.
-
AI personalities: Each bot represents a brand value.
Your Turn:
-
Open a blank doc.
-
Add:
-
Phrases that sound on-brand.
-
Words or tones that are off-brand.
-
How you want clients to feel when they interact with your business.
-
Themes you always want to come back to.
-
Step 5: Use It for Every Decision
Once you know your brand personality, decision-making gets easier:
-
Choosing which collaborations to say yes to.
-
Deciding whether to join the latest social trend (or skip it).
-
Creating content that feels effortless because it’s in your brand’s natural voice.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
-
Overcomplicating it — this doesn’t have to be a 50-page brand guide.
-
Forgetting it’s a living document — revisit your Brand Thread every few months.
-
Ignoring your own energy — your business’s design matters, but so does yours.
Final Thoughts
Your business isn’t just a list of offers or a set of marketing strategies. It’s a living, breathing brand with its own energy.
When you honor that energy — through Human Design, AI reflection, and a living Brand Thread — you create a business that works with you, not against you.
That’s what we do inside Anti-Social School and the Crush the Rush Club. We build businesses designed for the life you actually want, not someone else’s Instagram highlight reel.
Because you’re not just running a business.
You’re building a movement.
