Today we welcome Melissa Lin to the Crush the Rush podcast. Melissa went from chemical engineering to online business coaching. She shares how her corporate job might have looked like she was living the dream on the outside, but on the inside, she was exhausted and unhappy. Interestingly, her first venture was as an online health and fitness coach. After growing that business to six figures, she realized that she could teach others to do the same thing!

Melissa especially loves teaching sales strategy ... and that’s what we’re talking about today! Before you even START with strategy, though, you must have the right sales mindset! If you believe selling is BAD or GROSS, you won’t do it! So, shifting the stories you’re telling yourself around selling is step number one.

Then, it’s important to get to know your audience, ask them questions, provide value, and offer lots of “permission slips” asking for the sale. Also, be ready to answer questions and objections! It happens to everyone and it’s TOTALLY normal! At the end of the day, your goal is simply to offer a solution to someone’s problem. So, believe in abundance and never stop trying!
