3 Things That are Working Now in Business

I am super excited to dig into today's topic because the biggest lesson I have learned as a productivity coach in the last 5 years is the fact that what worked even 2-3 years ago is not working now.
Let me give you a little context. My entire business has been built and scaled in some sort of "stressed" situation in the economy. Pandemic. Recession. Whatever is happening now with the banks. I am not going to say it doesn't matter, but what I have found is when you figure out how to offer the right things at the right time, the impact is minimal.
So you might be asking or thinking, well that is great Holly, but what the heck does that mean? Here's my first piece of advice on what is working right now in business. 

#1 A Life-Priorities-Focused business is the fastest way to 6-figures.

Quite simply put when you feel better, you make more money. I know it sounds counter-intuitive and I love a good hustle, but every single time I put our personal life and schedule first and then grow our business around it, it's magic. How do you do that? Create your dream day now. Right now.


If you can control your schedule, you can control everything.

Maybe it's going to your favorite yoga class once a week. It might not be the ideal time you want it but go. Experience it. And work towards the time you want. Maybe it's getting a massage once a month. *Insert making my appointment now.* Or walking through your favorite park or lake or ocean. I have several clients that live by the beach (hello, amazing) but never go. Go. Do it now. You don't need 7 streams of income to be successful, you need your dream schedule and your life priorities taking the lead.

#2 Content isn't king. It's the entire kingdom.

People don't buy products and services, they buy stories and magic. If you are stuck, share your story. Don't know what to do next? Share your story. Want more people to purchase from you? Share your story. Nothing bad ever comes from serving. Which leads to selling.


Content creates trust. Trust creates relationships. Relationships create sales.


I had one of my mentors Heather Chauvin tell me, "Give them what they want. Then show them what they need." Quite simply, right now give your followers, clients, or whomever the answer to the question they are asking. It's that easy. How do you do that? Simply put, ask how you can help.

#3 You can make a big impact with a small list.

No IG, no social, small email list. In the past, one of the biggest mistakes I made was pouring money into ads. Buy the followers, they will purchase is what I was taught. We followed all the rules and had the funnel, the offer, and the tripwire (insert all the things), but not many people bought. When I flipped the model and started serving MORE of the people I was already working with, I actually started to attract new members as well. That 80/20 rule.


Customer satisfaction is worthless. Customer loyalty is priceless.

What are you doing to serve your current customer even more? Remember, the price is what you pay. The value is what you get. Value will win every time.
So in summary, I would argue, these tactics are pandemic, recession, and whatever else life throws at you proof. Because 1) you are putting your life priorities first which makes you feel like a superstar. 2) You are letting the content do the heavy lifting for you, which just makes business easier and more fun. 3) Focus on those that want what you have. Over deliver. Wow them.

And finally, no matter where you are in business, nothing changes if nothing changes. Don't let the fear of what could happen make nothing happen.
