My Sunday Prep Plan!

how to plan for your week meal planning productivity tips sunday meal prep sunday planning list Aug 05, 2020

I always get asked how I plan for the week with a crazy schedule and I thought it would be fun to chat about Sunday prep (i.e. how to plan for the week!) I recently posted about my love of avocado toast on Sunday! Lol.Honestly, because it is when I have time to make it. But, Sunday’s are for being grateful, planning for the week ahead, meal prep, naps, spending a little extra time with those you love and that extra 10 minutes to make that amazing breakfast you’ve been dreaming about all week. Even if it’s for a 3pm snack.

Here are my tips to plan for a productive week! And an extra little bonus printable for you! Well because I love this stuff! And I wanted a little extra excitement in my planner this week!

TIDDY UP YOUR SPACE. I usually do this on Saturday but tidying up my work and living space (even if it means throwing all the toys in a big bin makes such a big difference. I feel calmer, more relaxed and just refreshed knowing that things are a bit more organized. I tend to do the bedrooms / big living spaces on Saturday and then the kitchen and smaller spaces like desks / counters etc. on Sunday as I am planning schedules.

PLAN YOUR MEALS. I went live on Instagram today and showed how I meal prepped quickly this weekend. This meant making dinner tonight for Monday and Tuesday night (using Skinnytaste’s Stuffed Pepper recipe) and then chopping veggies and cutting fruit for easy snacks. Meal prep doesn’t have to be EVERYTHING. Just a few tasks to make life easier when the week has you tired and ready for the weekend!

REVIEW YOUR SCHEDULE. We recently implemented a Sunday family meeting where we review our schedule on the COZI app. (It is free). We also started blocking out one night a week for date night. (Um yes, one night every week.) and assign responsibilities for who is making dinner each night based on work schedules. I love the new app (you can save recipes + schedules in it) and it has helped us survive the week a little better.

SELFCARE. Yep, this is hard one for me. But taking time for YOU on the weekend and on Sunday is key. Today I watched Fixer Upper and took a nap! Sometimes I go get a manicure or go to hot yoga. It is just a time to step away and decompress. And it makes such a HUGE difference in the week ahead.

BONUS. BE GRATEFUL. I started setting my alarm everyday at 12pm to remind myself to be grateful no matter what is going on. But on Sunday I try to write in my journal, or just take a minute to appreciate my friends, family and surroundings. Don’t miss all the greatness around you!

I hope this helps you have a productive week!
